Sam 's distinguished career includes extensive government service. He worked for the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defense and the Environmental Protection Agency. He served as a United States Federal Agent from 2002 to 2017 performing and supervising criminal and national security investigations. During that time, he served as the Special Agent in Charge of an executive protection detail for a member of the President’s cabinet and worked with the National Joint Terrorism Task force and multiple federal, state and local task forces. He most recently served as the Associate Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Homeland Security Office where he was the principal EPA representative to the White House National Security Staff, coordinating the agency’s involvement in national homeland security matters and developing internal policy for the protection of agency information, assets and resources as required by executive order and national policy.
