Numerous studies have confirmed that there is a causal relationship between increasing diversity within organizations and a company’s bottom line. McKinsey and Company reported that ethnically and culturally diverse executive teams, for example, were 33 percent more likely to see better-than-average profits than less diverse competitors in their industry. This is because a diverse talent pool brings together the experiences, histories and personal experiences of individuals from different racial, ethnic, gender, geographic and ideological backgrounds.
